AREA MANAGER PRODUCTION (AUTOMOTIVE/DUTCH SPEAKING)

As Area Manager Production, you are a people-oriented leader driven by manufacturing excellence

| JOB DESCRIPTION:

• You organise and manage the production and production planning
• You deliver components to the assembly departments of the various entities and service centres on time, considering the set standards with regard to quality and costs.
• Based on the production planning, you organise the production activities in the department so that you realise the planned daily, weekly, and monthly volumes on time.
• You analyse and determine general and detailed production processes and layouts to improve resource efficiency and productivity. You identify, select, plan and monitor all projects to ensure operational targets are met in terms of environmental safety, component quality and product cost.
• You analyse and optimise the technical infrastructure and coordinate improvement activities related to safety, ergonomics and environment to create a safe working environment that meets minimum legal requirements.
• You prepare an annual standard time reduction plan and identify, control and monitor product cost reduction programmes to ensure the company's global competitiveness against competitors.
• You manage your team (5 team leaders and 170 blue collars) so that they optimise their individual performance and that of the company.
• You will report to the Production Manager.

| WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You have a university degree in engineering with a proven track record of at least 10 years in a manufacturing environment. Affinity with or a background in machining is a plus.
• You are a charismatic and people-oriented leader with strong communication skills who can build, lead and motivate teams.
• You have a good understanding of high-quality production and continuous improvement practices (lean, kaizen, six sigma, 5S). You ensure harmonisation of working practices and tools.
• You are self-managing, results-oriented and have the necessary pragmatism and positivism to guide and motivate people in a multicultural environment and act as a driver of change.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch.
