TEST RIG ENGINEER – HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEMS (Automotive/Powertrain)

You will be part of a fast-moving engineering team in a highly innovative environment. You will work in the R&D test center and closely co-operate with test engineering. Your focus will be on the Electric Powertrain Test Rig, performing test on the EV and HEV products of tomorrow.

| Your challenges?

• You will perform new development tests, analyze and report test data
• Your main task will be to write test scripts and sequences for automatic tests on different platforms (LabVIEW, NI Teststand), to have the test rig perform the test as specified by test engineering.
• You will take ownership for test rigs to ensure qualitative operation and to pursue continuous efficiency improvement
• You are the first contact person in case of operational issues of the test rigs.
• You analyze and resolve the issues in a structured manner and avoid future reoccurrence.
• You provide necessary tools and documentation to ensure uniform operation at all test rigs.
• You perform Measurement System Analysis and Capability Studies to prove the performance of the test rigs.
• You set KPI’s and use them to improve the quality and efficiency of testing, together with your stakeholders.

| What do we expect from you?

• You have an engineering degree in the field of mechatronics, electro mechanics or electronics.
• Basic knowledge of electric motors (Switched Reluctance, Permanent Magnet) and EM controls & calibration and/or high voltage systems is essential.
• Knowledge of battery simulators is a plus.
• Basic experience in Visual Basic Script is essential.
• Experience in LabVIEW and NI Teststand is a plus.
• You are an independent, positive person with a can-do mentality and have no problem getting your hands dirty from time to time when rebuilding a motor (hands-on mentality).
• Thanks to your clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are proficient in reporting knowledge and results.
