Component Design Engineer (m/w/d)

If you are passionate about engineering and you have an Entrepreneurial Mindset, TMC Germany is looking for a Component Design Engineer (m/w/d) in the South of Germany, Bavaria!

You will be part of a world-leading provider of innovative solutions for a more connected and sustainable mobility. You would be in charge of the development and design of components for the High Pressure Storage System (HPSS) and High Pressure Vessels (HPV). You will coordinate the suppliers for the development of components and ensure the diffusion, internally, of the knowledge of the component.

| Your challenges?

As a Component Design Engineer, you will :

• Work side by side with the System Engineer and Program Buyer to define and design components needed for HPSS systems and HPV
• Pilot the supplier development for their component and assure conformity with applicable standards and norms
• Guarantee compliance with customer specifications and the functional performance of the system and create component technical specifications
• Organize the validation testing and present the component development status
• Review and approve supplier deliverables (drawing, FMEAs, validation plan)
• Take part in the drawings of the component, construction of the Bill of Material and Piping and Instrumentation Diagram of the project
• Ensure product protection
• Support sales team and contribute to RFQs and solution definition
• Master development costs and ensure alignment with project budget
• Support laboratory team to provide all safety instructions related to the gas components
• Support industrial team to define assembly and testing lines
• Take part in the supplier audit and in the selection of the good supplier to consider

| What do we expect from you?

You graduated with a degree in engineering or equivalent and you have more than 1 year of experience as an Engineer or filling an R&D position.

You are familiar with mechanical component design as well as project and supplier management. You dispose of solid competences in mechanics (static, dynamics and material), in thermic and fluid mechanics. A good understanding of electrical or/and electronic component is a plus.

You have excellent communication and organizational skills. You are solution-oriented and you can quickly adapt to a new environment. You have a strong team spirit.

You have a good command of English as well as German.

You are ready to travel.
