System Engineer Optical Controls

At TMC Physics we are expanding our team in the field of system engineers for optical contros. The aim is on leading development of advanced optical solutions, pushing the boundaries of technology innovation. We are currently seeking a talented System Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development of cutting-edge optical control systems.

| Your challenges?

• Design and implement control algorithms for optical communication systems, focusing on tracking, pointing, and stabilization functionalities.
• Develop embedded software for real-time control and monitoring of optical systems.
• Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize control strategies and system performance.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate control systems into overall product designs.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control systems in both laboratory and field settings.

| What do we expect from you?

• Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• Strong background in control theory, with expertise in PID control, state-space control, and adaptive control algorithms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or MATLAB/Simulink
• Basic working knowledge of C++, FPGA (verilog and/or VHDL)
• Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of optical communication systems and technologies is a plus.
