SPACE THERMAL ENGINEER – LOMBARDIA

TMC Italia is looking for a Space Thermal Engineer based in our customer’s premises to provide support on Space applications.

| Your challenges?

The activity will be carried on in an international context.

Responsibilities will include:

• Thermal analysis of electronics boxes for satellites (Cold case analysis, Hot case analysis, Average power case analysis, Peak power case analysis, TRP definition)
• Thermal model creation (Model boards, Model boxes, Model board/box interfaces, Model harness initial sections (~50 cm), Model components with >1% of total dissipation, Model junction resistances)

• Documentation of thermal models and analysis (Model definition inputs (spreadsheet format), Model execution scripts (python etc), Thermal model description, Thermal analysis report, Thermal interface control document, Reduced TMM, Reduced TMM correlation report)
• Definition of thermal solutions including the use of passive thermal hardware

| What do we expect from you?

• Master’s degree in Space engineering
• Knowledge of thermal analysis using Systema Thermica
• Knowledge of Python and MS office suite
• Experience in thermal analysis of satellites and electronics boxes
• Knowledge of ECSS standards
• Experience creating reduced thermal models
• Familiarity with the use of passive thermal hardware (interface fillers, thermal straps, gap pads etc) and their assembly integration and test
• Proficient in English
• Serious motivation for the Employeneurship model of TMC
