Optical Mechatronics Engineer

As a Optical Mechatronics Engineer with Zemax experience at TMC, you will play a pivotal role in the development, optimization, and integration of optical systems into our mechatronic products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to design and deliver state-of-the-art optical solutions.

| Your challenges

1. Optical System Design: Utilize your expertise in Zemax software to design, simulate, and analyze optical systems, including lenses, mirrors, and sensors, to meet project requirements.
2. Mechatronic Integration: Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to seamlessly integrate optical components into mechatronic systems, ensuring optimal performance, alignment, and reliability.
3. Optical Testing: Develop and execute test plans to validate the optical performance of systems, including imaging quality, resolution, and calibration.
4. Optimization: Continuously improve optical designs to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase manufacturability.
5. Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports, to ensure the transfer of knowledge within the team.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and timelines.
7. Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optical technologies and contribute to research and development efforts to drive innovation.

| What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Zemax optical design software.
• Strong knowledge of optical principles, lens design, and optical materials.
• Familiarity with mechatronic systems and their integration.
• Proficiency in using optical testing equipment and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinking and a passion for pushing the boundaries of optical engineering.
