Optical Engineer

We are Seeking an Optical Engineer to join our talented R&D team at TMC. Design and optimize cutting-edge optical systems. | Your challenges?

• Utilize optical design software such as Zemax, Code V, or OpticStudio to design and optimize optical systems to meet specific performance requirements.
• Select optical components based on performance requirements, including lasers, detectors, fibers, and photonic devices, considering factors such as wavelength, power, and efficiency.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate optical system performance, utilizing techniques such as interferometry, spectrophotometry, and optical alignment.
• Perform optical simulations and modeling using software tools like MATLAB, COMSOL, or Lumerical to predict and optimize the performance of optical systems.
• Characterize optical components and systems using advanced measurement techniques, such as Fourier transform spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography, and wavefront analysis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate optical systems with other technologies, such as electronics, mechanics, and software, for comprehensive system development.
• Drive innovation by proposing and implementing novel optical solutions to address technical challenges and enhance product performance.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.

| What do we expect from you?

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in optical system design, analysis, and experimentation, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Proficiency in optical design software such as Zemax, Code V, or OpticStudio.
• Strong understanding of optical principles, including geometric optics, wave optics, and Fourier optics.
• Experience with optical characterization techniques and equipment.
