MECHANICAL SERVICE ENGINEER - SEVERAL LOCATIONS (contract position)

| Your challenges?

• Direct teams of craft labor supervisors, technicians and craft labor personnel in the safe maintenance and repair of large, power-generation turbine-generators and related equipment.
• Manage the utilization of resources efficiently to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
• Interface with and provide field-service engineering expertise to the project manager, division and product-line management, and customer management.
  
• Assist with outage-planning, as necessary, including the review and analysis of technical recommendations to ensure their compatibility with the customer's technical and commercial requirements.
  

| What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (or similar) from an accredited college or university.
• At least 6 years of experience in the disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of large, power-generation turbine-generators (10 years of experience with a non-engineering degree).
• Able and willing to travel, and work away from home on projects several months long.
• Able and willing to work long shifts, up to 7 days per week.
• Ability to gain un-escorted access to nuclear power plants (random drug testing, background checks, continuous behavioral observation) preferred.
• Technical knowledge of turbine-generators, and their control and auxiliary systems.
• Knowledge of outage planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
• Comfortable providing technical recommendations in customer meetings.
• Able to read and interpret drawings / blueprints and corresponding bills of materials.
• Able to read, understand and apply field procedures and process specifications to outage activities.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
