DATABASE ENGINEER

| Your challenges?

• Design, implement, and maintain database solutions in a cloud environment, primarily using Terraform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Manage and optimize SQL databases, with a strong focus on Postgres.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure efficient database operations and data consistency.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance improvements.
• Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, configurations, and procedures.
• Automate database-related tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in database engineering.

| What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Specific experience with Postgres database administration.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Knowledge of cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Understanding of database security principles and best practices.

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
• Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL).
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Certification in GCP or relevant cloud platforms is a plus.
