Data Engineer

TMC Data Science is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team of passionate and innovative professionals. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses and data platforms that enable data-driven decision making and insights.

| YOUR CHALLENGES?

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Team. The team is responsible for data and dashboards, and the Data Engineer plays a key role in managing the data landscape. Various enhancements and improvements are currently underway in different aspects of the data and system landscape to ensure it meets the requirements and needs for the upcoming period.

You will work with various stakeholders, such as data scientists, business analysts, product owners and customers, to understand their data needs and deliver high-quality solutions. You will also collaborate with other data engineers and experts within TMC Data Science to share best practices, learn new skills and contribute to our collective growth.

| WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, preferably in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and other programming languages and tools for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with data integration, ETL, data modeling and data quality
• Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch and English
• A curious and creative mindset, with a passion for solving complex data problemsA team player attitude, with a willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
