C# SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER - PITTSBURGH, PA

We are seeking a skilled and passionate C# Software Design Engineer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design software architectures, and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable applications using the C# programming language.

| Your challenges?

• Collaborate with product managers, software architects, and other engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into well-designed software solutions.
• Design and implement software architectures and technical designs using C#, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets performance and scalability requirements.
• Write unit tests and perform thorough code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Continuously research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance software development processes and improve product performance.
• Collaborate effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team activities.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to help them grow professionally.

| What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in software design and development using C# and the .NET framework.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with software architecture design and the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Proficiency in database design, SQL, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with web development technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Solid understanding of software testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex software issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture is a plus.
• Any relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
