| Your challenges?

As a Quantum Computing Specialist (Qubit Control) at TMC, you'll be immersed in cutting-edge projects at the intersection of quantum technology and practical applications. Collaborating closely with clients ranging from start-ups in the Delft ecosystem to renowned research institutions like TU Delft's QuTech center, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing quantum computing and quantum internet technologies.

Your primary focus will be on operating and fine-tuning quantum computing devices across various platforms, with a key emphasis on performing low-noise, DC, and RF measurements in dilution refrigerators. Your expertise will be instrumental in characterizing qubits and optimizing them for operational efficiency. These devices will span a range of architectures, including semiconductor and superconductor-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and execute experiments, from calibration to qubit gate operations, with a particular focus on spin qubits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software developers and chip manufacturers, to enhance the reproducibility, stability, and predictability of quantum computing systems.
• Utilize Python programming for laboratory experiments and develop software interfaces to facilitate seamless integration with other components of the quantum computing stack.
• Leverage cryogenic expertise and understanding of cryogenic electronics to ensure optimal performance of quantum devices.

| What do we expect from you?

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in experimental setups for quantum computing devices, preferably with a focus on spin qubits.
• MSc or PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, with a specialization in quantum research strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Python programming for laboratory experiments and interfacing with software teams.
• Prior experience with cryogenic systems and a solid understanding of cryogenic electronics is highly desirable.
