“My two-year project at Bosch was a real eye-opener”, claims Manufacturing Supports' Martin Koevoets. During his first assignment with TMC, Martin worked as an Energy Manager at Bosch Transmission Technology B.V. He discovered what kind of work suits him best. “I worked in a program focused on more efficient use of energy, not for the machines Bosch produces, but for the production processes of the Bosch machines.” The objectives were clear, but the program lacked a roadmap. "That is where I came in. The drafting of the roadmap and the communication about it became my first priority. I learnt what the importance of sustainability is, as a focal point in technology design, and now I clearly see the role I want to play to foster this."
Bosch is market leader in the development and mass production of push belts for Continue Variable Transmission (CVT). This Dutch invention of automatic transmission has become an international success.
At the moment Martin is between projects.“Of course I am looking out for a new project, but I am also active in the improvement of some internal processes at TMC. I focus on improvements in the communication between Employeneurs and account managers."
"Preferably", he continues, "my next project is linked to sustainability. I think we have to understand that sustainability can yield money. Energy prices are rising and will be an important topic in the upcoming ten years. I am convinced that this will affect everyone sooner or later. Sustainability is going to play an important role in the future.”
Martin is proud to be part of TMC: “I think TMC is unique because of its large network, its many high tech customers and extensive in-house technological knowledge. In addition, it is good to see how TMC interacts with its Employeneurs and customers and to be part of that.”
