TMC opens an office on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus

High-tech consultancy firm TMC (The Member Company), will open a new office on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in July. It will be TMC's sixth Dutch office, in addition to offices in Eindhoven, Utrecht, Delft, Enschede and Groningen. TMC has been active on and around the campus in Sittard-Geleen for years, primarily in the field of R&D and chemical process technology. An office at this location offers the company the opportunity to further expand its activities and better serve clients.

Growth ambition

TMC has an ambitious growth ambition. It wants to attract about a thousand new employees in 2022. "More visibility in this region helps us to further expand our business in South Limburg," says Emmanuel Mottrie, CEO of TMC.

The growth that has already been achieved and the potential of the province are the main reasons for a separate office here. Jeroen Gielens, managing director TMC Eindhoven: "We have been active in Limburg for years, from our office in Eindhoven. This new office brings us closer to our clients in the region and makes us even more accessible to the local labour market. The welfare of our people is key at TMC; we are delighted to be able to offer our colleagues from South Limburg an office close to home".

Talent specialist

Eric Appelman, Director Business Development, Brightlands Chemelot Campus: "These are times in which the availability of good people and the binding of talent are decisive factors for employers. Because so much has to be done and because this requires a high level of knowledge. Because today's employee is more than ever a job seeker with his own personal requirements. And because demographics are challenging, to say the least. Talent is one of the spearheads of our campus; we are proud that with TMC we can welcome a real talent specialist as a fellow resident."

Jeroen Gielens: "We are currently working hard to get the office all ready. We will start working there from the summer period onwards."

Other areas of expertise

TMC is primarily known in South Limburg for support within chemical R&D and process technology. From the new location the company can also apply its expertise in other fields in the region. For example, there is a great potential for the TMC specialisms of mechanical engineering, manufacturing, life sciences and software.

TMC's engineers operate at the forefront of the latest technologies. TMC's employeneurship model offers them the opportunity to combine the security of a permanent contract with the adventure and flexibility of entrepreneurship. It has five basic principles: a sustainable working relationship, individual profit sharing, personal coaching and training, communities of expertise of technical specialties and the Entrepreneurial Lab where the employeneurs can develop their own ideas and products.
