Solar Team Eindhoven Wins Cruiser Class

In the final accord of the World Solar Challenge the Solar Team Eindhoven ranked number one in its class.

With their car, Stella they finished second in the 3.020 kilometer speed race. Later they passed the static scruteneering and ended first in the dynamic scruteneering. The practicality of the car outpaced its competition. Stella was recognized to be the very first solar family car ever.

The Belgian Punch Powertrain Solar Team won the Technical Innovation Award. The Safety Award went to the University of Calgary.

40 Teams from 23 countries came to Australia to take part in what is the world's largest solar electric vehicle event. "There are no loosers in this event" Chris Selwoord of the organizing comitee stated. In a proud parade ending at the closing ceremony Adelaide had the first electric car only boulevard.
