The annual GLOW festival is a giant exhibition of light-art and technology which attracts over 800.000 visitors to Eindhoven each year. The event is getting bigger every year which results in an extra location at our very own High Tech Campus. We are already a partner of GLOW for a couple of years so we couldn’t be prouder to have the light festival near our headquarters.
One of the projects that will be shown at the HTC is the lightshow of 3Beam. The team of 3Beam is participating for the fourth time at the GLOW International Light Art Festival Eindhoven. This year, they are building a sixteen meters long light tunnel with music. It's made of 32.000 LED lights which are controlled by a computer. Erik Rakhorst, Employeneur at TMC: “Building the LED arches is a lot of work. Luckily, we found volunteers to support us: family members, neighbours, 300 students from the St. Joris college and kids from VSO De Korenaer and De Ontmoeting”.
The idea of the light tunnel was born at the TMC Entrepreneurial Lab (TEL). “We are proud that we contribute to this lighting artwork. I hope that people will enjoy this magical light experience and feel the passion put into the project,” says Lotte Geertsen, Director of The Entrepreneurial Lab.
