'Finance meets Technology' - TMC workshop @energievakbeurs
Last Tuesday 7 October, the annual Energievakbeurs took place at the Brabanthallen in ‘s Hertogenbosch. TMC took up the challenge to organize a workshop in the framework of the Solar Event. In “Finance meets Technology” TMC brought together 4 speakers who showed how technological development of renewable energy can be financed on the one hand and how money can be earned from renewable energy on the other hand.
Dorine Putnab-Devilee of ASN Bank explained the position of a bank, and how mainstream projects can be financed. Marc Buiting of 1to3 Capital highlighted the opportunity of crowd funding for developing countries in Africa. Frank Steggink of KIC InnoEnergy Benelux stressed that the EU has more budget available than appropriate projects “on the last mile” to finance. Bob Bloemers of Kuijpers Ecopartners showed how the ESCo (energy service company) can be successful in the Netherlands by relieving companies from energy issues.
Looking back at a successful event with intensive interaction between visitors and speakers, TMC showed once more that an engineering and consultancy company can offer more than attractive projects and highly qualified personnel.
The following event of the TMC Renewables team will be a workshop tackling the current challenges in wind energy. The date of this workshop will follow later.
