Smart Industry, or Industry 4.0, stands for the total development into the future of the world of manufacturing. Within this trend, the combination of data, systems, automation, human factors, innovation, and organizational structures play a big role.

After only one and a half years at TMC Dutch employeneur Noud van Besouw has already been promoted to project leader at Bosch. He’s also heading TMC’s Smart Industry Taskforce competence group and is on the verge of completing a full-time Master in Supply Chain at the University of Tilburg.
Our approach
It might be difficult to determine a strategy for your organization on such an abstract term as Smart Industry. In order to create overview in this maze, we start with small steps. A possible strategy might be to connect with a Lean philosophy. Research has shown the link between Lean maturity and Smart Industry maturity levels.
