FIRMWARE ENGINEER (MODENA)

TMC Italia is seeking a Firmware Engineer for its activity in the Modena Greater Metropolitan Area. Working within the Electronic instrumentation domain, the successful candidate will be working on low-level development alongside a team of hardware, software and electronics engineers within industrial sector such as biomedical and automotive.

| Your challenges?

We are seeking candidates with prior experience of low-level Firmware development preferably targeting 8/16/32-bit PIC Microcontrollers. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing 8/16/32-bit micro-controllers for a different range of electronic instrumentation products
• Testing and debugging of embedded firmware
• Redaction of Documentation
• Support and maintenance of firmware

| What do we expect from you?

MUST HAVE

• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering (5 years) or equivalent
• Demonstrated 2+ years work experience on embedded solution comprising microcontrollers.
• Fluent English
• Advanced knowledge of C
• Advanced knowledge of C++
• Experience with firmware testing (unit, regression etc.)
• Experience with Hardware/Software debugging tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol sniffers
• Knowledge of standard Microcontroller peripherals like TIMERS, UART, NVIC, SPI, CAN, etc.
• Critical comprehension of electrical schematic
• Experience in using common electrical debug tool (e.g.: scopes, DMM, bench power supply)
• Team Working attitude
  
  

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with wireless communications (BT, BTLE, WiFi)
• Experience of interfacing with real world, analogue, and digital sensors
• Experience programming in application-level languages such C#, JAVA
• Experience programming in Python
• Experience in Matlab & Simulink with focus on real-time testing
• Experience with source versioning systems such as SVN/GIT
• Experience with Eclipse-based integrated Development Environment (IDE)
• Full life-cycle product development experience in the medical device, consumer healthcare, aerospace or consumer electronics industry.
